The babies were in the crib while I was strapped with one of them to my back. Ha! The home was starting to appear nice, however there were still many things that needed to be left. The project would require a lot of money effort and shopping my favorite to furnish this home. In order to stay within budget, I began taking my kids to estate sales in search of diamonds. When our home was finished, I didn't want to quit! I had a stand at the local market and also sold items there. My collection eventually grew to the point that the space I had available was inadequate. The number of people who visited my house in one weekend to buy everything that was on the ground. This is where my business Growing Days was born. In addition to my thriving business, I also had the pleasure of growing our family. There was a perfect balance between starting a business and being a mother. Growing Days just fit. Nora came into our lives in 2013 to be our fourth baby. I was thrilled with where my company was taking me, but I felt like I needed some time off. I made the decision to take some time off from my vintage furniture and stay at home with the kids. That was exactly what I needed at that time. After a few months that my phone began to call. I was getting requests from people requesting to help with their home improvement and interior design. A majority of those calling me were from those who attended one of my furniture open house events. I began to take on customers one by one going at my own pace but it wasn't too long before I had numerous accounts and had a complete home renovation business. When you first told me about my business in home renovation I was astonished. When I look at it, it has made me smile.
